Project description

Radioactive@Home is a polish science project using distributed computing capabilities of BOINC platform. The main goal of the project is to create free and constantly updated map of radiation available for all people, by gathering information about gamma radiation using using sensors connected to computers of volunteers willing to participate in the project. The project uses dedicated hardware sensor; without it the app does nothing and no credits are granted. Project is completely non-commercial, participating will be free of charge and the software will be licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). on your computer.

    Shipping of detectors v2.60 (KIT) officially delayed.

    I want to excuse everybody for this delay and also ensure you that you will receive your detectors soon. Delay is caused by my faults in enclosure designing and I also still working on firmware and possibility of upgrading it via RS232. Shipping is planned at first or if another issues appears at second week of April. If anybody is worried about whether his money were spent at detector parts and not at Bitcoin stock exchange I want to show one PHOTO - geiger tubes, PCBs and transformers(I need to glue ferrite core yet).

    Due to delay in production of V3 (white tube) sensors, we are going to resume distribution of redesigned V2 sensors (black box). This sensor will be available only as a KIT*. The design work and testing should be completed by the end of this week. Kits should be available at the begining of the year 2014. * - PCB + programmed uP + tested geiger tube + enclosure
